Over 20 years ago, a group of passionate and visionary engineers came together. They knew that the drilling industry was not just about machinery and technology, but a way to converse with the Earth and unlock the future. At that time, the market was filled with expensive, inefficient equipment that struggled with complex geological conditions. They were determined to change this, providing more efficient, durable, and cost-effective drilling solutions to mining companies and engineering teams worldwide.
After years of hard work and innovation, this small team grew and eventually established Changsha DTH Drill Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. in June 2021. With two decades of R&D experience and manufacturing expertise, the company quickly stood out in the industry. Spanning 55,000 square meters with 582 employees, the company boasts a top-tier technical team led by world-renowned scientist Professor Zhao Mingchun. For his outstanding contributions to the field of drilling, Professor Zhao has been ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University for two consecutive years, bringing a powerful research force to the company.
Today, CSDRILL’s products are found on five continents, sold in 75 countries and regions. Jerry Guo, known as 郭俊杰 in Chinese, is a figure whose career reflects extensive experience and constant ambition. His professional journey began with global corporations such as IBM, HITACHI GST, BOOKHAM, and STMicroelectronics, where he built a solid foundation in technical and management expertise. This background gave him a deep understanding of international markets and fostered his commitment to quality and improvement.
In 2005, Jerry transitioned into the foreign trade industry. His previous experience helped him quickly gain recognition as a skilled professional, able to assess market trends, negotiate effectively, and address customer needs with precision. His reputation grew, earning him widespread trust and respect within a competitive industry.
Jerry always envisioned more. His goal was to leverage his background in international trade and high-tech industries to create a company that could influence the global market. In 2021, he brought this vision to life by founding Changsha DTH Drill Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., focusing on delivering reliable and durable drilling equipment to customers around the world.
Jerry teamed up with Professor Zhao Mingchun, a scientist highly regarded for his work in drilling technology. Together, they worked on solving challenges in the drilling process, aiming to make the equipment easier to use and more reliable.
